In a publication of the American Statistical Association of 1908-1909, John R. Commons, Professor of Political Economy, provides guidance for the “Standardization of Housing Investigation”. While modern real estate values a property on square footage, J.R. Commons takes into consideration the industrial vigor that results from housing, food and occupation. The SAB Center re-develops this methodology in a seven years research and development program.

Our group quarters are designed to facilitate remote working with shared workshops, offices, libraries, galleries, photo booths, post-production studios, visioconference rooms, meeting theaters and outdoor spaces for storage, work and community development. We also provide group services such marketing, events, marketplace, training, shared projects, customers, visibility, social media, shows and a family of co-workers. We provide a framework where artists and authors meet our partners on intellectual property and where they learn to protect their rights as self-employed workers. All our services are meant to provide support against isolation of workers and to benefit fragile and minor profiles. We help women in their self-development activities. We assist newly rehabilitated homeless people into their new life as workers and we create an environment where our partnership with for-profit businesses help develop a stronger economy.
